But first, a passionate student who needed the right education to get the job done.
It all started at Clarke University, a small, private liberal arts school that provided one on one attention to students with the desire to succeed. The graphic arts program offered an exceptional amount of exposure to the arts by creating a foundations list that dipped into artistic expression and fundamentals outside of computer generation. I picked up some paints, grabbed a camera, went knees down on a pottery wheel, and even pulled out a thread and needle to bound some books.
The gallery below is a small collection of work I produced over the course of my education. The first five images represent my capstone project, a required senior-level course where students reflect on their education and develop a campaign that is displayed in the Quigley Art Gallery on campus. This was my breakthrough point as a designer, generating a non-profit organization that utilizes art as a means of communication to raise social awareness for various, life-changing occurrences.
