lima: man vs. bike
atv accident awareness campaign
Summary: Every year over 125,000 people are involved in an ATV accident harming themselves, and for many, other victims as well. This Summer 2012 MAN VS. BIKE campaign promotes safety for ATV drivers by providing necessary facts, statistics, and advice in order to promote safer riding and driving habits. LIMA chooses the summer to highlight this cause because it is the most active season for ATV operation as well accidents resulting from improper use.
The campaign pulls in viewers with a theme focused on the basic mechanics of driving an all-terrain vehicle. Vector-based imagery of objects associated with ATV bikes is paired with a blueprint appearance for technical attention. The dynamic color combination of gray and green is referenced towards the mechanical connection and environmental setting associated with ATV riding. It attracts the viewer’s eye and creates immediacy to the information that is provided. Even though all accidents cannot be prevented, something as simple as wearing a helmet can make all the difference.
