A LOT CAN BE TOLD ABOUT A PERSON
BY THE WAY THEY EXPRESS THEMSELVES.
However, I may just send you the wrong impression, or too many impressions all at once! There sure is a lot of different expressions in this tight and tiny digital space. Take a look below and get to know myself, both past and present, as I connect with you from the voice of a designer, a little girl, and an adventurer at heart.
INTRODUCTION AS AN ARTIST IN THE WINDY CITY:The eyes are useless when the mind is blind. This is my thought process and the fuel to the fire when it comes to my work. Pretty much any graphic designer can make a work of art visually appealing without feeding anything more than the eyes that engage upon it. For myself, it has always been about the blood, sweat, and tears that lie behind the work. Conceptual art is my passion. The elements of design are chosen with a purpose - to expose the psychological aspects, the underlying thoughts, metaphorical connections, and extra special twist of excitement that leaves the viewer with knowledge far beyond what they initially perceive. With purpose comes meaning and with meaning, suddenly the ordinary becomes extraordinary!

INTRODUCTION AS A LITTLE GIRL IN THE SUBURBS OF CHICAGO:Since kindergarten, I was an 'out of the ordinary' child. I spent time drawing full-figured people while everyone else pieced together their stick figures during craft time. After hopping off the school bus, I would walk to my grandparent’s house next door and plop myself into an art desk next to my grandfather as he painted. At thirteen, I knew I wanted to enter the graphic arts, influenced by my aunt and cousin who were both very successful designers in the field. This was also the time where I learned my strengths and my weaknesses. I struggled to try and correct my brushstrokes with frustration. It was a sign to go digital, to hit the undo button, and feel at ease with the work I would produce. From there, the rest is history.

INTRODUCTION AS AN ADVENTURER AT HEART:I'm simply a thrill-seeker. Life is what you make of it and I'm the type of person who has the drive to experience it all. It's a very rare occasion to catch me sitting on my couch, eating popcorn, and watching a movie. My friends and family would label me an 'on-the-go' girl - always busy, with a schedule planned out from sunrise to sunset. Groupon has definitely become my biggest motivator, inspiring me to hit the buy button on activities such as trapeze classes, white water rafting, or even death-defying leaps out of an airplane. It's hard to get me to say no to something new. You could say I enjoy the adrenaline rush, but I truly love those first time experiences that leave a lasting impression in my heart.
