necco candy packaging
brand revival kit
Objective: Design a new brand strategy for an existing candy company and construct physical models of the candy wrappers, retail containers, and a print advertisement. The overall design should provide a similar appeal but possess a more modernized approach to the company’s identity.
Solution: NECCO Candy has been considered an old-fashioned candy manufacturer dating back to 1886 when the D.L. Clarke Company was first founded. In order to create cohesion, all candy produced by NECCO is packaged in boxes containing sleeve wrappers. Each product is adorned with a crest and ribbon title to define royalty among other candy producers. Colors were chosen based on a vintage color palette to keep the old fashioned appearance while bringing the stylization of the products up-to-date.
