TEMPORAL NARRATIVE: 21st birthday
Kinetic typography
Objective: Gather, distill, and construct meaning from sensory data collected from the observed world. Apply verbal discussions, sounds, thoughts, and visual descriptions into six typographic storyboards as well as photographic or drawn imagery associated with the experience.
Solution: On January 26, 2011, Nathan Williams turned twenty-one years old and purchased a party bus to travel around the Dubuque area. Since the event’s environment is very rich in noise and conversation, much of the observation was done using recording methods and reviewed multiple times to produce the final product. Imagery was photographed and then manipulated using Photoshop posterization techniques.
